Peace

If you look at my calendar you would think that we are so busy and over scheduled. Well, that is not the case. The weekly activites are on the calendar, but so are whose turn it is to do what chore, pick the show we watch on TV (if they earn it), we rotate who sits by Mom (I am the coveted dinner companion each night), we rotate who sits in the middle or the back of the car amongst other things...all..to keep the peace! The joys of parenting! Don't they all look so PEACEFUL sleeping! I really do love all my sleeping babies!

Ducks

Another sign of Spring...Ducks in the neighborhood. The Drake follows his mate around, protecting and feeding as spring fever begins. Anna went out to give themsome bread in our yard and the Drake was ever the gentleman allowing his mate to eat first, then quickly gobbling up the leftovers!

Pansies

In my hurry to rush in spring and Allen was out of town running his race...I planted pansies. They are such a beautiful delicate looking flower. Yet they are resiliant and can fight off the early spring cold and bloom through to the hot summer! I planted on Saturday and of course by Monday there was snow.

Moab 1/2 Marathon

In the last year and a half Allen has taken up running. Last year he competed in the Ragnar Relay. Running a total of 12 miles. This year he decided to move onto a 1/2 marathon. LAst weekend Allen ran his first 1/2 marathon! He was so excited to have met his goal. The funny thing about it is that everyone he told said"...you actually finished?!!!" Everyone..HE DID IT! Good Job, honey!

DINOSAURS

The children were all in bed. We were enjoying some quiet time and I reached over to turn the lamp on the read and what a beautiful addition to our home decor I found. Two dinosaurs, 4 Lego guys and a pink penguin were balanced on the top of the lamp! When I asked Daniel the reason...'I'm trying to dry them out so they will get smaller'. Science and home decorating...definitely a couple!

Sunshine

I walked into our family room and found Matthew and Mylee sunning themselves in the warm rays of the sun throught the window. We long for the real springtime to come..bright flowers, bike rides, soccer, happy faces, trampoline..I know it will be here soon...but I feel a fever coming on. SPRING BETTER HURRY!

Brittany's Baptism

Brittany was baptized on Saturday. Our family gathered for this wonderful event. Brittany was so excited, she glowed in her white dress and smiled the entire time we were with her! She was baptized and confirmed by her Dad! I was a lot of fun and a privilege to be there congratulations Brittany!

500

Our family took a quick day trip down to Cedar City for Brittany's Baptism. We arrived early to Brent's house and Brett was ready to play. Allen is always such a good sport and came and played outside with the boys. They played a game called '500'. Allen would throw the football in the air and call out a number ie. 150. Whoever caught it got the points! The boys had a great time and wore Daddy out!

Allen and Daniel trying to plan a catch for Daniel.

Matthew and Brett...growing up way to fast!

Eggs

One of my coworkers has been giving me 'farm fresh eggs'. The kids love the brown color and I love the eggs. We have had a jumbo sized egg with two yokes, eggs straight from the nest so we had to clean them ourselves and 2 duck eggs. The thing that makes me laugh about the duck eggs was Mitch (my coworker) wanted us to cook them up and try them. So I saved them in the carton for when we were all together to cook, not telling Allen what they were. On Daniels birthday I asked Allen to make him some brownies ( he doesn't like cake), Allen used the duck eggs...and the brownies tasted great! Quack, Quack!
