Ward Christmas Party 2007

Our Ward has a Christmas breakfast the first Saturday in December.

All those who want to see Santa have to come at 8:30 for a chat , pictures and a treat (candybefore breakfast???)!

The fun thing about Santa is he comes to church with us every Sunday...

This year while we were at the ward party a huge snow storm blew in. Allen had to leave the party to shovel the walks so no one would slip as they left the church.

The children couldn't wait to get outside...

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays!

For the last three years we have had a huge Halloween Party with about 30 kids...we can't stand to leave anyone out! We plan about 15 games have pizza and a back up movie..

The party may become a tradition...if the kids have their way!

Blaze Game

I took the kids to the Blaze game Friday night. It was my company party, Allen had to work, but the children still wanted to go...so we went. We had a lot of fun! We had dinner in the VIP lounge and lower bowl tickets! It was mascot night, all the mascots from college and professional teams were there. The kids had to have a picture taken with Cosmo cougar (BYU) for dad and of course Chief of the Utah Blaze. The children were so good we stayed until the end of the game to get their posters and football signed by the mascots. What a night!:)

Talent Show

Anna tried out for the school talent show. She sang the song 'Cruella Deville' from 101Dalmations. She did a really good job and made it into the talent show. She has a beautiful jazzy voice and the song was perfect for her. She continued to practice for 2 more weeks and performed at the big event on friday April 18th. She was the 9th performer, she started facing backwards and when it was time to sing she turned around with a big smile and started singing. All of her friends and schoolmates cheered for her and she sang her little heart out! We are so proud of Anna!

Talent show tryouts

Debate!

Matthew was asked to join debate this year! He went to school every wednesday morning at 8:00 to practice since January. The last month he went to school between 7:30 and 8:00 for practice everyday. Finally the big debate meet came on April 11th at Skyline High School. Matthew and his partner Jake chose to debate as a negative team. They had three debates and won their third debate! Good job Matthew!

This is my first try at blogging. Leah had to push me and finally I said O.K. as long as she set me up, which she did within the hour! So be patient and enjoy!
