Mothers Day Gifts

Matthew, Anna and Daniel made mosaic pots for Mothers Day! Uncle Joseph sent us some cut glass and gave us the instructions of what to do. The kids had a great time and look at their beautiful work!

Mother's Day

I am thankful for Mothers.
I have a wonderful mother, she has taught me to share, serve, have compassion for others,
fight for what I believe in, have faith in God. She has been my shoulder to cry on, a confidante and a great friend. She is a wonderful grandmother, I love her!
I am thankful for my Grandmother! She has always given me great self confidence and taught me so many things, I also love her.
I am thankful for my husbands mother. She is a genuine person. She gives so much to her family and is always there to listen and give advice. She loves us regardless of how difficult we are and has raised a fabulous son...I love her too!
I am thankful for the mothers that let me be a mother...for the sacrifice and pain they went through, allowing me the privilege of being a mother.
I am thankful that I am a mother...I love my children. Each is strong willed with unique talents and abilities. I appreciate their unconditional love, patience and joy they bring into my life. Being a Mother is truly a gift from God!

SOCCER

All three kids are playing soccer. Life is crazy but they all love it! We have two games a week for each child...yes that equals 6 games a week CRAZY! All the kids are having a great time and I love that they are getting some great exercise.

Field Trip!

I always put my pictures on backwards... Daniel had his first field trip to the Living Planet Aquarium. Daddy took half a day off work and went too! Allen was assigned three children in his group, Daniel, Dylan and Rachel. Daniel was very excited to go on the school bus but even more excited to be with Rachel. They have become great friends this year. Daniels teacher was surprised when the friendship blossomed.. Rachel is quiet, shy and tiny. Daniel is the opposite loud and big. They are so cute together! Allen, Daniel and the kids had a great time!

Choir Concert Spring 2008

Anna had her choir concert on May 3rd. She has been singing in the East Millcreek Children's Choir for a year now and loves it. She sang 1 solo-the first verse of 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' and a duet in 'All the pretty little Horses'. Anna loves to sing and has overcome all fear of singing in public. Thanks goes to Kathryn Monson her choir director:)!

Just for FUN!

Last Sunday Daniel disappeared into his bedroom and came out all dressed up..our homemade version of "Captain Underpants" (notice the underpants under the helmet)! Daniel is always full of SURPRISES!

Children seldom misquote. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said. ~Author Unknown

Kinda Cute!

Tonight when I was giving the kids a kiss goodnight, Matthew looked at me and said "Mom you have dirt on your cheek". He looked at me again and said "You have dirt on your other cheek, too!". I stopped and thought for a minute...I hadn't been gardening, or doing anything outside today...then it came to me...OREO kisses! Daniel was giving me hugs and kisses as he was eating an Oreo...and left his mark! I love being a mom.

Recorder Concert

MAtthew had his 4th grade recorder concert on April 27th. It was really fun. It's amazing that 50+ fourth graders could play in unison...or pretty close. They also sang American folk songs.
